It is not a secret, I am a fan of conversions and explorer yachts. We have already seen a few of them in my recent posts, like Sherakhan and Pink Shrimp… Here is another interesting one, the 45m Daddy Shane, originally built as a tugboat by Dunston in 1967.
Her conversion was carried out in 2005 at Ortona Navi, with a new design by Yankee Delta Bravo. At the time she was known as Ariete Primo. Her name changed again in 2024 to Daddy Shane, and her paintjob was updated during a refit. This photo was taken when she arrived in Cannes a few weeks ago.
